In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires......  (a) 'Court Police Officer' means such police officer or staff as may be allotted to a court for presenting the police file or for assisting the court in the discharge of its duties. (b) “Police file" means all the documents prepared and maintained by the Police in connection with the prevention or investigation of an offence against an accused or accuseds under the provisions of the Code or any other law and presented before a Magistrate for orders. উকিলের সাহায্য ছাড়া কী কেউ কোর্টে হাজির হতে পারেন? Can we fight cases without lawyers? আমরা যে কোনো আইনি জটিলতার জন্য উকিল বা অ্যাডভোকেটের সাহায্য নিয়ে থাকি। আইনি জটিলতার বিষয়গুলি অ্যাডভোকেটের জানা থাকে ৷ একজন অ্যাডডোকেট আইন বিষয় পড়াশোনা করে থাকেন অর্থাৎ LLB বা LLM বা সমতুল্য ডিগ্রি থাকে ৷ (সরকার অনুমোদিত কোনো College থেকে) | এর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে একজন আ্যাডভোকেট বা উকিল কোর্টে Practice এর জন্য BCI বা Bar Council of India বা অন্য কোনো অনুমোদিত বারের সদস্য হতে হবে ও তার একটি রেজিস্ট্রেশন নম্বর থাকবে ৷ তবে অনেকে এটা জানতে চান কোন অ্যাডভোকেটের সাহায্য ছাড়া নিজে অথবা অন্য কোনো ব্যক্তির দ্বারা কোনো কেসে হাজির হতে পারেন? এই প্রশ্নের উত্তরে বলা যায় যে কোনো ব্যক্তি কোর্টে হাজির হতে পারেন কোনো অ্যাডভোকেটের সাহায্য ছাড়াই তবে তা কোর্টের অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষ৷  অ্যাডভোকেটস অ্যাক্ট এর ৩২ নম্বর ধারায় বলা আছে যে কোনো ব্যক্তি যিনি নথিভুক্ত নন সেইরকম কোনো ব্যক্তি কোর্টের অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষ হাজির হতে পারেন।  নীচে ধারাটি দেওয়া হল।   Section 32 in THE ADVOCATES ACT, 1961 32.
