Sub: Implementation of the recommendation of the Setty Commission for granting compensatory allowance to the Court-staff who are deputed to attend Lok Adalat.


Sir,


In compliance with the order of the Hon'ble Apex Court dated 7.10.2009, I am directed by order of the Governor to say that the Governor has been pleased to implement the following recommendation w.e.f. 01.4.2003 :-


Until separate staff are provided to the establishment of Legal Services Authority the Court Staff who are deputed to attend Lok Adalat work shall be paid Compensatory Allowance @ 5%of their basic pay if they are deputed during general holidays may be granted Compensatory leave for the holidays foregone.


The order is issued with the concurrence of the Finance (Audit)Deptt.vide their U.O.No.1253Gr.P(Service) dt. 31.3.2011 read with U.O.No.99, Group-P(Pay) dt. 29.6.12.


All concerned including all Treasury Officers, Pay & Accounts Officer I & II ,Kolkata are also being informed accordingly.
